IDEAS FOR HALLOWEEN TREATS

It’s the middle of October already and you know what that means — Halloween is right around the corner! Did you know that this year, Halloween falls on a full moon? Spooky! Since typical Halloween gatherings are not allowed due to Covid-19 restrictions, we thought we’d share a couple ideas on how to celebrate with true Halloween spirit, while staying safe and responsible. 
 
What would Halloween be without treats? The easiest way to celebrate this autumn holiday is by enjoying halloween-themed food at home! October 31st is usually all about candy — but why not try some of our famous Pumpkin Gelato this year? 
 
Always a crowd pleaser, this signature Fiorello’s flavor is crafted with fresh pumpkin and a proprietary blend of seasonal spices to evoke pleasurable memories, comfort & moments of joy. Fiorello’s founder Tony Bonviso says “I personally have never tasted better pumpkin ice cream or gelato, EVER!”

In addition, Fiorello’s also makes a Pumpkin Spiced Cream Torta Gelati, made with our pumpkin gelato on a New York cheesecake base, topped with Grand Marnier whipped topping and seasonal spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. The best part? It serves 16. Throw on a scary movie and dig into some of our delicious Halloween dessert!

Since no Halloween is complete without a pumpkin of your own, go pick one at one of our local pumpkin patches! For starts, check out Godmother’s Pumpkin Patch (St. Vincent’s), Nicasio Valley Pumpkin Patch, and Pronzini Farms in Petaluma.
 
Finally, saving the best for last, there are at least two drive-through trick-or-treating events happening right here in Marin! Participants (and staff) at both will have to stay in their cars and wear masks, taking into consideration Covid rules and regulations:

The halloween Food Drive-Thru Spooktacular

The Halloween Food Drive-Thru Spooktacular at the Marin Center will be open weekdays 4-9pm, and weekends 11-9pm. “Don your costumes and prepare to be spooked with family-friendly haunted surprises and activities all while staying inside your car,” say the event organizers. They’ll have all sorts of delicious treats on deck, so bring the whole family!

Drive-Thru Trick or Treat

Strawberry Recreation District is holding their Drive-Thru Trick Or Treat on Thursday, Oct. 29th at their parking lot (118 E. Strawberry Drive in Mill Valley). Join them for some socially-distant trick-or-treating! Costumes are encouraged. Free prizes and candy!
